Shipping Policy

Date: 26 August 2026

This Shipping Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, Return & Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy. It explains how production, shipping rates, customs charges, tracking, delivery problems, and destination restrictions are handled.

1. Production and Preparation

Products may be printed, produced, stretched, signed, numbered, prepared, packed, or otherwise completed after an order is placed, depending on current availability and production workflow. We do not guarantee that a particular product is held in ready-to-ship inventory unless expressly stated otherwise.

Production and preparation times vary by product. Limited Edition prints, Canvas prints, postcards, and other printed products may be produced after purchase. Original artworks already exist as unique physical works but may require preparation, protective packing, documentation, and export formalities before dispatch.

2. Original Artworks and Export Documentation

International shipment of original artworks may require Ukrainian cultural-export documentation, expert examination, certificates, permits, or other official formalities. Processing times are determined by the relevant authorities and may vary. We do not guarantee a particular processing time unless we expressly confirm it in writing.

Government, customs, or documentation delays are outside our operational control. They do not by themselves create a right to cancel an order except where cancellation or another remedy is required by applicable law.

3. Shipping Rates and Methods

Shipping rates, methods, carriers, and available destinations are configured by product category and destination. Different products in one order may use different shipping profiles and may appear as separate shipments at checkout.

Original Oil Paintings currently have free customer-facing shipping to destinations where they are available in the store. Free shipping refers to the outbound shipping charge shown to the customer; it does not mean that all import duties, taxes, customs charges, brokerage fees, or other destination charges are included.

We may select or change the carrier, service level, physical shipment split, or route before dispatch where reasonably necessary because of package size, value limits, customs requirements, carrier availability, or operational conditions. Any such change remains subject to mandatory consumer rights.

4. Individual Shipping Quotes and the 0.01 United States Dollar Placeholder

Certain large or multi-item print orders may show Tracked International Shipping at 0.01 United States dollars. This amount is a technical placeholder only and is not the final shipping charge.

The final shipping cost will be calculated separately and communicated before dispatch. We will not charge an additional amount without the customer's authorisation. The order will not be dispatched until the final shipping arrangement and any additional shipping payment have been accepted and completed. If the final shipping arrangement is not accepted, the affected order may be cancelled and the applicable amount refunded.

5. Shipping Availability and Restricted Destinations

We do not ship to Russia, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Venezuela, Nigeria, Afghanistan, or Palestine.

Shipping may also be unavailable to other countries, territories, military-post regions, islands, remote areas, or postal codes because of carrier coverage, declared-value limits, customs rules, legal restrictions, security conditions, fraud risk, or operational limitations.

The appearance of a destination or shipping rate at checkout does not guarantee that shipment is possible. A destination may occasionally be displayed because of a technical, configuration, or carrier-related error. If we determine before shipment that an order cannot be shipped as displayed, we may cancel and refund the affected order or, with the customer's agreement, offer an alternative shipping arrangement.

If your destination is not on the restricted list above but no shipping option is available at checkout, you may contact us at borisgrohshop@gmail.com to ask whether a special arrangement is possible. We are not required to make a special arrangement where a safe, legal, and commercially reasonable route is unavailable.

6. Customs, Import Taxes and Destination Charges

International orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, customs-clearance charges, brokerage fees, handling fees, storage fees, postal or courier charges, or other charges imposed in the destination country.

Unless and to the extent a particular charge has actually been prepaid by us or collected from us by the carrier, such charges are the responsibility of the recipient. Any import-related amount prepaid by us or collected from us covers only the specific amount actually charged at that time and does not mean that all duties, taxes, or other destination charges have been paid.

The name or price of the shipping method shown at checkout does not indicate that all import charges are included or prepaid. Additional charges may still be assessed by customs authorities, postal operators, couriers, brokers, or other parties. Import rules, tax rates, customs procedures, and carrier charges may change at any time and are outside our control.

7. Tracking and Shipment Confirmation

Where tracking is available, tracking information is sent after the shipment is dispatched. Tracking events are generated by carriers and local postal operators and may update slowly during customs clearance or handover between networks.

One customer order may be divided into multiple physical shipments. Each physical shipment may have its own tracking number, customs declaration, and delivery date.

8. Delivery Times and Delays

Production, preparation, export, dispatch, and transit times are estimates unless we expressly confirm a specific date in writing as guaranteed. Delivery may be affected by customs clearance, government procedures, public holidays, war or security conditions, weather, local postal operations, carrier disruption, remote-area handling, or other circumstances outside our direct control.

Where applicable consumer law sets a delivery deadline or gives the customer a right to terminate the contract after an agreed or statutory delivery period and any required additional reasonable period, those rights remain unaffected. A carrier investigation or delay procedure does not indefinitely postpone mandatory customer remedies.

9. Delivery Attempts, Incorrect Addresses and Unclaimed Parcels

Customers must provide a complete and accurate address and, where required, a valid telephone number or other information needed for delivery and customs clearance.

Customers must also respond to reasonable carrier or customs requests and collect the parcel within the applicable storage period.
Refusing delivery, failing to collect a parcel, or allowing a parcel to be returned to sender does not by itself constitute a valid cancellation or exercise of a statutory right of withdrawal. A customer who wishes to exercise a legal right of withdrawal must clearly communicate that decision in accordance with the Return & Refund Policy and applicable law.

If a shipment is returned because of an incorrect or incomplete address, failure to collect, refusal of delivery, failure to provide required clearance information, or failure to pay destination charges for which the recipient is responsible, any refund, reshipment, or other resolution will be determined after the shipment is returned and inspected.

Documented additional costs caused by the recipient's failure may be charged or deducted to the extent permitted by applicable law.
If reshipment is agreed, the customer may be required to pay the new shipping cost and any additional documented costs caused by the failed delivery, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

10. Inspection on Delivery and Transit Damage

Please inspect the parcel at delivery whenever possible. If the outer package is visibly damaged, wet, torn, punctured, opened, crushed, or otherwise abnormal, ask the courier or postal operator to record the condition in writing or in its delivery system before accepting or completing delivery where the carrier permits this.

Keep all packaging and do not discard, clean, repair, alter, or destroy the artwork or packaging while a damage claim is being reviewed. Please report suspected transit damage to borisgrohshop@gmail.com within 48 hours whenever possible so that evidence can be preserved and carrier claim deadlines can be met. This requested reporting period does not limit mandatory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

The detailed evidence and resolution procedure for damage claims is set out in our Return & Refund Policy.

11. Lost Shipments

A shipment may be treated as lost after sufficient evidence exists that delivery is no longer reasonably expected, including carrier confirmation where appropriate. We may open a trace or claim with the carrier before determining the appropriate resolution.

Carrier investigations may take time, but carrier or insurance procedures do not limit mandatory rights that a customer may have after non-delivery. Where applicable law requires replacement, termination, or refund before a carrier or insurer has paid us, the customer's remedy is not limited to the carrier's payment to us.

12. Insurance and Carrier Liability

We use declared values and insurance or carrier-liability arrangements where appropriate and available, particularly for higher-value shipments. Carrier limits, exclusions, and claims procedures vary by route and service.

Any compensation we receive from a carrier or insurer is a matter between us and that third party. It does not reduce a mandatory refund, replacement, or other remedy that we are legally required to provide to the customer.

13. Changes to Shipping Rates and Conditions

Shipping rates, carrier choices, service availability, free-shipping offers, destination lists, customs procedures, and this Shipping Policy may be changed at any time without prior notice for future orders. An accepted order will not be retroactively charged a higher shipping amount without the customer's agreement, except where applicable law permits otherwise.

14. Governing Law

This Shipping Policy is governed by the laws of Ukraine, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights and other mandatory protections that may apply in the customer's country of residence or otherwise under applicable law.
